HVPC organizes and coordinates special events in Halton during Sexual Assault Awareness Month in May and Woman Abuse Prevention Month in November. These events are dedicated to raising awareness and eradicating violence against women.

Central West Region Sexual Assault Learning Forum

On May 11 2017, the Central Region Sexual Violence Forum was hosted by PCAWA in collaboration with the Domestic Violence Community Coordinating Committees from Halton, Guelph-Wellington, York, and Simcoe County. The forum was part of an initiative to create a cross regional community of practice to end sexual violence in our communities.

Woman Abuse Awareness Month

On November 2 2017, members of HVPC and community came together to commemorate Woman Abuse Awareness month. The theme of the event was focused on men's role in preventing violence against women.
